Essam Sendi

Based in Jeddah, Essam Sendi is a Managing Director for GDI. Mr. Sendi has over 10 years of experience in operations management and has worked closely with several Saudi based construction and management firms on development projects in the Saudi Arabia.

Prior to GDI, Essam held several management roles within the Economic Cities Authority (ECA) and was focused on the King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) project. In this role, Mr. Sendi managed relationships and communications with government entities, managed licensing and investment opportunities, presented the KAEC project with potential investors, managed support teams and led Human Resources operations. In the area of operations, Mr. Sendi led recruitment efforts for major projects, managed staff work schedules, and monitored project performance compared to various Key Performance Indicators. His vast knowledge of worker recruiting practices and management of staff operational performance is a tremendous asset to GDI.

Prior to joining ECA, Essam served as a Business Analysis Manager for Bank Al-Jazira. In this role, he led multiple disciplines that included cost analysis, vendor relations, development of project plans, and research projects.

Mr. Sendi understands the complex dynamics of architecture, construction, and service organizations. He has established relationships with some of leading Saudi based firms in each of these areas. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Finance from Al Ahlia University in Bahrain. He also studied Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Statistics, and Economics at Mount St. Vincent University in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Mr. Sendi is a proven leader with a vast understanding of the business practices and processes necessary to complete intricate development projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
